It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Elena Almaraz Moreno, who entered eternal rest surrounded by her family.

Maria Elena was born to Isaias Moreno and Ramona Lopez, who preceded her in death. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by her strength, faith, and sacrificial love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Julio Almaraz Rodriguez (2012), and her daughter, Marta Almaraz, who passed away as a child.

She is survived by her loving children: Juana Aguayo, Francisco Almaraz, Araceli Tovar, Norma Almaraz, and Myra Almaraz. She also leaves behind her cherished in-laws: Armando Aguayo, Nelly Noemi Almaraz Benavides, Rafael Tovar, and Juan Ricardo Gonzalez.

Maria Elena’s legacy continues through her grandchildren: Maria Guadalupe Aguayo, Jesus Armando Aguayo, Jeanette Almaraz, Carlos Francisco Almaraz, Jacqueline Almaraz, Julio Cesar Almaraz, Marisol Almaraz, Rafael II Tovar, Giselle Idalia Gonzalez, Idalie Jasmine Gonzalez, and Solymar Gonzalez.

Her love and guidance blessed the lives of her great-grandchildren: Daniel Eduardo Manjarres, Devany Manjarres, Deanira Manjarres, Darely Sophia Argueta, Liam Magdaleno Argueta, Vianey Noeli Almaraz, Emily Marie Tinoco Almaraz, Jorge Emilio Tinoco Almaraz, Aliyah Sophia Tinoco Almaraz, Carlos Adrian Almaraz Rodriguez, Melinda Rose Almaraz Rodriguez, Leilani Chun, Eli Emmanuel Acosta, Karina Martha Almaraz, Julian Arthur Almaraz, Leonardo Almaraz, Armando Almaraz, Isaac David Leonardo, Cesar Alexander Leonardo, and Rafael III Tovar.

She was also blessed to learn of her great-great-grandchild, Elora Acosta, though she was not able to meet her in person.

Maria Elena’s life was one of dedication, compassion, and resilience. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

The family finds comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her husband, daughter, and parents in everlasting peace.
