Beloved daughter of the late Micaela Arguello de Toledo and Antonio Toledo; dear sister of Santiago (Josefina) Toledo, the late Jesus (Virginia) Toledo, Eucario (Elvira) Toledo, the late Socorro (Ruben) Toledo de Garcia, Salvador (Adolfina) Toledo, Jose Toledo, Patricia (Humberto) Toledo de Gonzalez, the late Eloy (Gloria) Toledo and Elena Toledo; cherished aunt of Margarita, the late Jorge, Fernando, Marisol, Yolanda, Javier, the late Idalia T., Luz Maria, Micaela, Susana, Santiago Jr., Diana, Idalia G., Monica, Roberto, Antonio, Alejandro, Alvaro, Guadalupe, Cecilia, Imelda, Sergio, Cristina, Edi Santiago, Idalia L.
Merced was a noble and giving person that cared deeply about her family, worked as a seamstress, and ran a small grocery store in the family’s Mexico home to help her family. She was like a second mother to many of her siblings and nieces and nephews and helped raise many of them. She was a devout Catholic and devout to Saint Santiago Apostol who she has an alter for in Mexico. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation services will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 3-7 p.m. at M. Martinez Funeral Home, 5800 W. 63rd St.
Funeral 8:30 am will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Funeral Home followed by
Funeral Mass at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 3745 South Paulina Street, Chicago, IL
Interment Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato, Mexico.
