Maria Elena Saucedo, lovingly known to her family simply as “Y,” passed away surrounded by the people who cherished her most. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Jesus Saucedo, and a proud mother to Jesse Saucedo, Saul Saucedo, married to Delia Herrera, and Abel Saucedo. She was adored by her grandchildren, Sara Saucedo, married to Rosendo Flores, and Elias Saucedo, and found special joy in her great-grandson, Jude Flores, who brought her endless smiles. Y was known for her bright colors, sharp wit, and unmistakable sense of humor. She could make anyone laugh, sometimes intentionally, sometimes by just being herself. She was deeply loyal and traditional and carried herself with quiet strength and dignity. She loved God, her family, and the simple comforts of life. Family gatherings were never complete without her legendary tortillas and laughter around the table. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and humor, the kind that holds families together through the ups and downs of life. Her spirit will live on in the stories we share of her, our morals that she implemented, and in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Though she’s gone, her warmth and spirit will forever guide and unite our family.

Maria Elena Saucedo, cariñosamente conocida por su familia simplemente como “Y”, falleció rodeada de las personas que más la querían. Fue una esposa devota de su esposo, Jesús Saucedo, y una orgullosa madre de Jesse Saucedo, Saul Saucedo, casado con Delia Herrera, y Abel Saucedo. Sus nietos, Sara Saucedo, casada con Rosendo Flores, y Elías Saucedo, la adoraban, y encontraba una alegría especial en su bisnieto, Jude Flores, quien le dibujaba sonrisas interminables. Era conocida por sus colores vivos, aguda inteligencia y su inconfundible sentido del humor. Podía hacer reír a cualquiera, a veces intencionalmente, a veces simplemente siendo ella misma. Era profundamente leal y tradicional, y se conducía con fuerza y dignidad silenciosas. Amaba a Dios, a su familia y los simples placeres de la vida. Las reuniones familiares nunca estaban completas sin sus legendarias tortillas y las risas alrededor de la mesa. Ella deja un legado de amor, fe y humor, del tipo que mantiene a las familias unidas a través de los altibajos de la vida. Su espíritu vivirá en las historias que compartimos sobre ella, en los valores que inculcó y en los corazones de todos los que la conocieron. Aunque se haya ido, su calidez y espíritu guiarán y unirán a nuestra familia para siempre.
