It is with deep sadness that the family of Nicolas Rivera announces his peaceful passing on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born on Wednesday, December 23, 1942, in La Arbolera municipio de Caracuaro de Morelos Michoacán, MX to Sebastian Rivera y Maria Felicitas Guzman.

Nicolas Rivera was a devoted husband to Flora Patiño for 62 years and a loving father to Celestino, Edelmira, Jesus, 🕊️Antonio, Jaime, Jose, Maria, Areseli, Nicolas, and Sebastian. He cultivated a strong work ethic, integrity, and humor in his children, who will forever cherish the memories of his unwavering support and love.

He took great pride in his traditional Mexican heritage, embracing its rich food, music, culture, fishing, the outdoors, and firearms, sharing these passions with family and friends. As a dedicated provider, he worked for 26 years at Tenex Corporation, renowned for his exceptional work ethic.

Nicolas Rivera is preceded in death by his son Antonio Rivera, grandson Xavi Garza, his Father Sebastian Rivera, his brothers Sebastian, Gamaliel, and Hilario. He is survived by his wife, Flora Rivera; his children, Celestino, Edelmira, Jesus, Jaime, Jose, Maria, Areseli, Nicolas, and Sebastian, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at M. Martinez Funeral Home on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Areseli Rivera via Zelle at (773) 739-3836. 

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
