Vicente T. Delgado, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 93.

Vicente first came to the United States and settled in California, where he worked tirelessly in the fields picking fruit. In search of a better life for his family, he later moved to Chicago, staying with a good friend as he built a foundation for the future. Once he was established, he brought his wife and children to Chicago to begin their new life together.

A hard worker at heart, Vicente spent many years at a small steel company, where he worked until his retirement. But it was not just his work ethic that defined him — it was his generosity. Vicente was always the first to help family and relatives in times of need, extending his big heart not only to his own children but to his wife's family as well. He was known for being loving, understanding, and endlessly giving of himself to those around him.

Vicente is survived by his wife, his four children, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. We love our Dad.
